Price & Payment FAQs
How does Choices for Children and Family approach treatment?
Currently, there are many challenges to providing behavioral health care in rural America. At Choices for Children and Family , our involvement in the communities we serve is at the heart of our mission. We see these challenges and barriers and are developing innovative programs and care delivery models to offer services to those with behavioral health issues. Our team of providers aims to disseminate education, information, and care to those in need in the communities we serve.
How does this work?
If you don’t have insurance coverage, or do not wish to use your insurance, we accepts major credit cards, cash, or cashier checks for our self pay rates. Your visit will be inclusive of the total service and completion of applicable documents. During your visit, there may be additional treatment recommendations. All recommendations and corresponding costs will be discussed upfront during your visit. Payment for scheduled services will collected prior to services being rendered.
How much is a typical visit?
For self pay patients, our prices are simple, transparent, and inclusive of the total costs. If the therapist sees the need for any additional treatment (e.g. psychiatric or primary care services), s/he will discuss the recommendations and costs with you prior to any charges being incurred. For more detail, please contact a Choices for Children and Family Medical Clinic Representative.
When are consultations available?
Consultations held by appointment on weekdays. In terms of accessibility, rural residents typically face long travel distances, a lack of providers, a lack of anonymity, and limited care options to meet their behavioral health needs. Choices for Children and Family has a physical presence in many rural communities, offers a differential level of anonymity, and provides a safe, at-home or in-clinic, environment for our patients to consult with their providers. Our in-house staff can help arrange consultations and appointments with the Behavioral Health team.
Appointments are held in the comfort and convenience of our patient’s homes, or in a private exam room at one of our clinics, and conducted in a professional manner. Sessions are held via telehealth with a provider or can be held in person with a live provider in select clinic locations. Our providers offer an effective and standardized behavioral health treatment strategy with easy access to care.
What about no-shows?
Patients who do not cancel their appointment within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment will be assessed a $50 no show fee. The fee will be collected prior to or upon time of next service. Patients who have unpaid no show fees shall have services suspended until which time they have fully paid the outstanding no show balance or have made payment arrangements with the Customer Service Department.
